Executive Board

The IndySurviveOars executive board is made up of women who are dynamic, successful, energetic, and enjoy a challenge. Their strengths include attention to detail, organizational skills, and their compassion. Their biographies are below and prove how they can take projects from beginning to end.

Kathy Martin Harrison, President and Treasurer

Kathy is the current president and treasurer of Indy SurviveOars. She has been married for 29 years. She graduated from Butler University in 1979. She is co-owner of Ed Martin Automotive Group in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is active on many community boards, including the Junior League of Indianapolis, Ryan White Foundation, Indiana Sports Corporation, YWCA, Lawrence Township School Foundation, John Stewart Foundation, First Republicans, and Friends of Planned Parenthood. She is the founder of the Indiana Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Support Group.

She has also been active with the Komen Race for the Cure, A Child's Haven (at City County building), NCAA Men's Final Four, Family Support Center, Nordstrom's Gala Opening, LINKS golf fundraiser, NBA Draft, Heartland Truly Moving Pictures, and Junior Achievement.

Amy Bulger, Secretary

Amy has been married since 1991 and has three children. She graduated from Purdue University in 1991 and is primarily a stay-at-home mom. She works with her husband at Halo Athletics, their sports uniform and corporate apparel business. She volunteers on various school and church committees and was one of the founding members of the Noblesville chapter of Mothers and More.

She enjoys spending time with family at country home, playing out in the yard, vacationing with friends, scrapbooking, and playing Bunco. She's also a member of a dinner club and loves to watch Ultimate Fighting on pay-per-view! She also enjoys attending her kids' sporting events, running the Mini-Marathon with friends, and visiting with family.

Emily Patterson Brenner, Board-at-Large/Media/PR

Emily has been married for 17 years and has three children. She graduated from Butler University in 1987 and performed in the Butler Ballet while she studied education and performing arts. She has worked for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line as an assistant cruise director, led the dance department at Park Tudor School for 8 years, taught at Kindercare, and is currently the Marketing and Production Director for Source 1 Companies. She also directs and choreographs musicals for The Artist Studio.

She has also been active with the Junior League of Indianapolis as a member and board member, Komen Race for the Cure, Dyslexia Institute of Indiana, Neighbor Harvest, NCAA Final Four, and the World Police and Fire Games. She is also active with the Children's Coalition, New Hope Presbyterian Church, Windermere Swim Club, Southeastern Swim Club, Lantern Road Elementary and Sand Creek Intermediate Schools.

Lisa Drake Cole, RN MA, Community Relations Vice-President

Lisa is the vice president for community relations for Indy SurviveOars. She is married with two children. She has an Associates Degree in Nursing from Purdue University, a Bachelors Degree in Organizational Communications from Indiana University, and her Masters Degree in Gerontology from Ball State University. She is currently the manager for Health Promotions and Community Relations for Clarian Health. 

She has been involved with the Junior League of Indianapolis, Guion Creek Elementary PTO, Pike Township Educational Foundation, OASIS, the Stanley K. Lacdy Executive Leadership Series (class XIV), Komen Race for the Cure, United Way, NCAA Final Four Tournament, and the Pan American Games.
